Join Rhys in these drop-in library sessions for a number of creative language promoting activities, to inform the words and phrases used in our interactive murals.
Activities:
Mega fridge magnet poetry: (velcro) made up of Cymraeg and English based on poetry written in the area by Ieuan ap Llywelyn, Lewys Aled a Siôn Conwy. You will also have vocabulary taken from Gwreiddau Gwyllt project at your disposal [https://mentrauiaith.cymru/en/...] to remind participants of the interesting lexis that describes the natural world of Wales and its species.
Character Zines: using drawing to create a visual vocabulary for the artists to work from, and that will act as a basis for creating the mural sites.
Diharebion: using Welsh sayings as a basis participants will be encouraged to create their own contemporary versions.
A translanguaging/trawsieithu approach will allow Welsh and English speakers to co-create interesting local words and images to help form the basis of the installations by Livi and Tomos.
